I stumbled across an article about ADD/ADHD the other day. My Cousin's daughter posted it. Evidently her young daughter has it. I found out that I am missing knowledge about it. I knew about the attention issues and the energy, forgetfulness etc. What I did not realize is I had no clue of how it effects me emotionally. This is why I seem mildly bi-polar. The term used was hyper-arousal. My highs are higher and the lows lower than a "normie". We are also super sensitive to rejection. I finally feel like I have the rest of the dots connected. I now know that I need to research and learn more about my ADD/ADHD. I thought I knew it all and everyone else thought I did too. Or at least my beloved mother in law did. Evidently the doctor she worked for specialized in it for the first 15 years of his practice as his daughter(?) had it.

Me in a nutshell
This is also how women are taught to be good "girls". To subordinate their desires to those of others. To avoid confrontation. At every turn, women are taught that how someone reacts to them does more to establish their goodness and worth than anything they themselves might feel.
I suggest that you give your inner child a hand and help him/her grow. To do this, find a picture of yourself as a child or just imagine a child living in you. How old is he/she? What does he/she look like? What is he/she thinking? Who’s next to him/her? What’s the matter with him/her? ..
Talk to your inner child …
Take paper and two pencils of different colors: one in your right hand, the other in the left. If you are right-handed, write with your right hand on behalf of your adult self, and use your left hand on behalf of your inner child. If you are left-handed, do the opposite.
In your conversation, you and your inner child are alone. Who will make contact first? When will you start communicating? The answers you’ll get might be unexpected.
Now that you found your inner child and started talking to him/her, it is time to establish a relationship with him/her. Communicate with the kid in there as much as you like. Ask him/her what he misses. Give him/her what he/she is looking for. Call him/her by his/her name, tell him/her kind, loving words, give him/her your love. Ask him something.
Be the parent you once needed.
Monday/Tuesday, Getting Stuff Done
My goal today is to get through all my little boxes of dichro and fusing glass scraps. Ideally I'd like to have the majority of my glass put away by bedtime tomorrow.
Order Black Cohosh-done!
Eyeballs in-check
Dressed-check
Stretch
Eat-check
Money into bank account & pay electric bill.
Sword training
Push-ups?
Possible weight lifting?
I met last week's goal of sword training every day, Monday through Friday. Yay me.
What I did do. Ended up with a very stiff neck. Had trouble getting going today. No stretching, sword training or weight lifting. Part of the no sword training was because I was so sore and stiff, mostly from yesterday's dussack training. Went through the majority of glass and put away. Tomorrow the rest

New Year
My goals for the new year are to get myself back on track to where I was before I "broke" due to overwork.
I have been keeping my kitchen up, well at lest the dishes, counters and stove top. I am trying to do at least one small odd cleaning task daily. I'm slowly cleaning my room. Stripped and re-made my bed this week. Cleaned up the bottles and dishes. Trash is picked up. Worked on the boxes in the office and bagged up the papers for auntie.
Back to a healthier diet. Trying to not eat unless I cook. I am starting by cutting out the sugar and that includes the soda pop. My goal is to only use it as a chaser. I've made it one day with no liquor. Had wine instead. Forty eight hours soda free.
I re-did the calender on the board and marked A's rent money. Need to mark DS's payment. I am planning on being a lot tighter with my finances in the future. There are things I want to do, places to go. Not to mention I just want to pay my bills on time from now on!
Three days out of four this week I have done some sword training. I am working on remembering my posture. To stand and walk tall and proud. Great for the tummy too.
Bob's My Hero, Early January
Bob, aka "Robert", JK's black Shepard/Border Collie mix dog died Wednesday night. Bob was one of my heroes. He was a real life saving dog. Standing over, staying with and waking JK up so he got out of his camper when it burned down.

Breaking Up Brawls
Been at it again. Breaking up brawls. I am beginning to think I have some German Shepard in me. They hate seeing their people fight. This guy I now short, scrawny-he reminds me of a banty rooster. Short fuse. Whaled on one of my neighbors roommate's so I broke it up. Then he went after my neighbor three different times. He ended up in a headlock three different times too.
WTF? My neighbor loaned this little rooster $300 to go to concert. This little rooster agreed to pay it back at $20 a month and hasn't. When asked about it he gets angry, violent and threatening. Even attacking my neighbor for wanting to see that money. What a dick wad.
Today I am hurting. This goes to show, again, how badly I need to work out to keep my body working more like a well oiled machine than a creaky, dusty something.
This guy was so focused on his target he left his backside completely open. This made it easy to put him in a chokehold-all three times.

Dec 3
Had a great HEMA class today, again. Finally I am learning how to spar. I am loving the ways sensei is helping me in this area. He is integrating the use of using two hands at once. A nice little training exercise that really helps someone like me. It seems like he has listened to what I have to say about needing to learn how to take what I have learned and actually use it. Like he has seriously listened and thought about it. Later coming up with lessons and training to help with it.
